Robert O'Connor, a local artist, is a native of Brooklyn, New York. He studied drawing at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, art at Brooklyn College and painting with Joseph Stapleton of the Art Students' League in New York.
He most recently exhibited paintings as part of a group exhibition in Locust Valley at the Dolan Art Gallery. His paintings are in several local private collections as well as collections in Connecticut, New York, Denmark and England.
Mr. O'Connor works in oil paints for his preferred subject matter of landscapes and seascapes; the beauty of nature inspires his art.
